This is a public service regarding local events in Charlotte County, Florida. If this develops as I hope, then I will eventually expand the coverage area.
The Port Charlotte Library is located at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron St. Phone: 941 764-5562
On Saturday, June 5, 2021, the library will be hosting the Fill a Bag Sale. In the past this sale involved only books, but according to the local paper it will involve more than that this time around. The sale will begin at 9 a.m., but if history is any clue get there earlier, and it will go until 1 p.m. and visitors will be able to fill a bag for $1, $2, or $3, depending on the number of books shoppers want.
This sale and the activities surrounding it are designed to raise money for the Charlotte Library Bookstore and for various library programs.
