Corruption of the Left

The Riddle Report 11 20 2020

The corruption of the Left appears to be far greater that I or anyone else ever anticipated. I knew they would lie and cheat. That is there history. But what stunned me is the sheer magnitude of what they have done! Mounting evidence demonstrates that the 2020 election was in the process of being stolen before the first votes were ever cast.

2016 Election.

There is plenty of evidence that the Left tried to steal the 2016 election before and after the actual election. At this time, they inserted the Dominion software by convincing people it would be a good and secure tool for election. But the real reason for buying the software was the expectation they could control of the votes for their candidate Hilary Clinton.

Unfortunately for them, the software didn’t function as well as advertised and Donald Trump won. But their own bitterness and pride would not permit them to admit any mistake on their part. For the next three and a half years they used every trick in the book to unseat President Trump culminating on December 18, 2019 in a House of Representative approval of Articles of Impeachment which then led to a Senate trial on January 16, 2020. On February 5, 2020 the President was acquitted.

This is where we wondered if they finally had learned their lesson. No, they didn’t, but they did learn that the software had been fixed and the upcoming election would be different. So they set about to steal the election from the American people.

2020 Election.

I used to believe and even wrote that the Democrats were making a mistake in pursuing their efforts to unseat the President. But I was wrong. They knew something that I didn’t, namely, that the election was rigged long before Biden received the nomination!

Now weeks after the election was held, we are beginning to see the tip of the iceberg. Across multiple states the fix was in. I believe, however, that somehow President Trump learned of the rigging and set about preparing for the battle ahead.

At the same time, the Democrats were aware that the Republicans suspected but didn’t really know about the rigging. If you were listening, they started accusing the President of not accepting the results if Biden won. There was no evidence to support such an accusation, but hindsight shows that they may have known about the fix and wanted to thwart any challenges he might make. Thus, we heard repeatedly the charge that he wouldn’t accept defeat. They were operating on the idea that if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it to be true.

The Plan.

This Plan is so convoluted and mind boggling that it is hard to understand. Consider:

  • Thousands of deceased men and women voted in the election. While not proven yet, there appears to be a great deal of evidence showing that is what happened.
  • Ballot switching where ballots fro Trump were switched to ballots for Biden.
  • Evidence of Democratic Governors and Secretary of States spearheading voter suppression.
  • News media has consistently downplayed, ignored, or denied the evidence. In some instances, they have implied Republicans are desperately making stuff up. Such lack of journalistic integrity will be a stain on the media for a long time.
  • Cases of certified election observers being denied the ability to observe  the recounts in violation of the law.

The Dominion Fiasco.

As mentioned above Dominion software has been involved in the 2020 election. They deny any wrongdoing, but a former Prosecuting Attorney has pointed out that they have a great deal of evidence demonstrating Dominion’s duplicity. This is coming from an attorney with a great reputation.

Although I expect President Trump has been re-elected, it is a sad day when any person or group of persons think they can steal an election. We shouldn’t be surprised since the idea that the ‘end justifies the means’ is a favorite maxim for the Left.

Friday News : Impeachment

Welcome to Friday News. Every Friday I share news with you; primarily about writing and sometimes about life in general. This week it is about:Impeachment.

The news media is all excited about the recent vote by the House of Representatives to formalize the Impeachment Inquiry, but is it worth all the print? Well, anytime you have any action regarding a public official, especially the President of the United States, it is important. But the real question is its validity.

What is impeachment?

According to Wikipedia it is “Articles of impeachment are the set of charges drafted against a public official to initiate the impeachment process. The articles of impeachment do not result in the removal of the official, but instead require the enacting body to take further action, such as bringing the articles to a vote before the full body.

In the United States, the articles of impeachment are drafted by the House of Representatives for cases involving federal officials. Once drafted, a supermajority of the United States Senate is required to convict based on the articles.”

Although the media knows better their reporting tends to make people think that impeachment means conviction. It is only a set of charges. The way the House is doing it is more like a Grand Jury, although I don’t believe that was our founders intent. So far, it has been innuendo, third party, and unknown people making charges.

When you read the statements of people involved you don’t get much in the way of facts, but statements that are generalized and lacking in substance.

Why is the President being Impeached?

That is the question of the century. When you look at recent history you see that presidents have done similar things such as the President is accused of doing. Basically the charge narrows down to he used economic power to try to get a foreign government to accede to a goal or action he desired.

The Democrats charge, with no proof, that the President did this out of fear of Joe Biden’s candidacy for President. While no proof has been found to bolster this opinion, the truth is that this whole episode hurts Biden more than the President. There are serious questions about Biden and his son. While the media claims that there is no proof of any misdeeds, the fact remains that the reason nothing was found was that Biden used the U.S. economic power to get rid of a prosecuting attorney who was investigating Hunter Biden and the company he was part of. Joe Biden even publicly bragged about his successful effort.

And then the investigation and its documentation seemingly disappeared and is now said not to have taken place. I couldn’t write a better whodunit.

Hunter may be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the investigation should be pursued.

Why aren’t the Republican’s involved in the inquiry?

Because the Democrats don’t want the Republicans messing up their plans. It is the only explanation that makes any sense.

What happens if the House Impeaches Trump?

That is a good question. The Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has options. He could dismiss the impeachment, set rules for the trial and/or have a full-scale trial.

If there is a trial, what will be the outcome?

I don’t have a crystal ball, but I doubt that you could get enough Senators to vote for Impeachment. Not all Democrats and certainly not many Republicans would vote guilty, especially since there is no evidence of wrongdoing. Which brings up why the vote for Impeachment Inquiry.

The Democrats have nothing more than a he said/he said portfolio. Although they passed the Impeachment Inquiry, passing Impeachment is not necessarily a given. Many Democrats don’t believe an impeachable offense has been committed. This means they need facts, so the inquiry is nothing but a fishing expedition.

Will They Succeed?

Doubtful. As said earlier, President Trump used his power the same way Democratic and Republican Presidents have used it in the past. You may not like that display of power, but it is acceptable in today’s world.

What Impact will this have on the Election?

Whether the President is impeached or not by the House I believe it will blow up in the faces of the Democrats (much like it did for Republicans trying to impeach Clinton). The American public is tired of the constant turmoil stirred up by Democrats unhappy over Trump’s election. Despite the news media’s cooperation with the Democrats, the American people have resources for getting the truth and they don’t like the smell coming out of the House.

It’s just my opinion, but I think the Republicans will retake the House.

Journalism

Monday through Friday I deal with different subjects in this blog. I also post my blog to my Facebook page at RFrederickRiddlesWorld. Monday’s I try to focus on issues. This week I am taking a look at Journalism.
Today I guess I’m ranting. The whole idea of a democratic election is that there be informed viewers. When this country was started our founders were wise enough to protect the freedom of the press. The idea was that a free and independent press will keep our people informed and thus enable them to vote appropriately.
But times have changed.
Try finding an unbiased news report. Almost all news that relates to government has a liberal bias. It has been that way for decades, but now seems worse than ever. Now the news media is not only liberal but anti-Trump. Here we are in the midst of a bullish economy and you hear little about it from the news media.
What is newsworthy to them? Anything anti-Trump. Lately they’ve been intensely following the Manafort trial. On its own merits it might be interesting, but as to relating to Trump and the supposed collusion with Russia not very much. In fact you really have to twist the facts to make it relevant.
The Media is Betraying Us.
It is the media’s job to keep us informed of what’s going on in our government. For example, why don’t they report on the resurgent economy? We had eight or more years of stagnant economic news. People lost their jobs, the economy tanked. But when Trump was elected and turned the economy around, it has only been grudgingly reported.
We constantly hear that the world is laughing at Trump, but he has forced foreign governments to pony up. Over and over he has successes that are not reported in the newspapers. Yes, we learn about them but only by wading through social media and visiting government sites.
When I was a student, oh so long ago, I remember reading about the newspapers of the late 19th century. Their agenda was war with Spain over Cuba. The issue is not whether they actually influenced the government or not but that they used Yellow Journalism.
What is Yellow Journalism?
It’s the use of sensationalist headlines and stories without well researched supporting information. Today we see it on a wide scale covering newspapers, magazines, radio, and television. While it is not the sole property of liberals they do appear to be the primary users of this non-reporting.
How Should Reporters Report?”
According to the Ethical Journalism Network there are five core principles of reporting. These are (with my commentary):

  1. Truth and Accuracy

Truth cannot be guaranteed, but reporters should be seeking facts not sensationalistic headlines. We constantly see sensational headlines on page one and the retractions and/or corrections in the interior. I as a reader want relevant facts not the reporter’s opinion.

  1. Independence

Journalists must be independent voices. I agree with that. In fact I agree with the whole statement that EJN gives;
“Journalists must be independent voices; we should not act, formally or informally, on behalf of special interests whether political, corporate or cultural. We should declare to our editors – or the audience – any of our political affiliations, financial arrangements or other personal information that might constitute a conflict of interest.” (Emphasis mine)
Some reporters do follow this, but when watching the Washington Press Corps in action I don’t see it or hear it, nor do I read it in most news articles in the local paper.

  1. Fairness and Impartiality

“Most stories have at least two sides. While there is no obligation to present every side in every piece, stories should be balanced and add context.” I would disagree to this in one aspect. I believe they have a moral obligation to present the major sides of a story and be balanced. But I further believe that balance means a fair and equal reporting of facts. All too often we will read an article that will state a conservative point of view and the reporter will add content that seems to disagree with that view. But we don’t see that with liberal point of views.

  1. Humanity

“Journalists should do no harm. What we publish or broadcast may be hurtful, but we should be aware of the impact of our words and images on the lives of others.” I suggest that reporters be required to memorize that statement.

  1. Accountability

“A sure sign of professionalism and responsible journalism is the ability to hold ourselves accountable. When we commit errors we must correct them and our expressions of regret must be sincere not cynical. We listen to the concerns of our audience. We may not change what readers write or say but we will always provide remedies when we are unfair.” How about reporting the correction on the same page as the original article and with the same size print?
I’ll grant that journalistic integrity is a hard path to follow, but Americans and the American government deserve honest, ethical reporting. Here’s my single statement on what journalism should be about: A journalist should relate a story, backing it up with true facts, and with agenda free and opinion free reporting. You report, we decide.
