We’re approaching the Democratic Convention and, as might be predicted, the media has Biden well ahead of President Trump in the polls. Are they right?
The Democrats Made a Mistake
And it’s a big one. In 2016 Trump blew Hilary out of the water and the Democrats assumed foul play. It wasn’t true, but they hitched their future to that assumption and immediately there were calls for impeachment.
That question is in relation to her new demand that the Senate get her approval before she’ll send the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate. Now, President Trump responded by demanding a speedy trial. And that is his right. But the Senate is not under any obligation to seek the House’s approval.
it remains every American citizen’s responsibility to determine the man or woman we want to lead this nation for the next four years. It’s not only important for us but for our children, grandchildren, and the world.
The whole idea of a primary is to select a man or woman who best represents the party’s governmental view. We have Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Progressive, and more parties each favoring a particular brand or theme. Historically speaking the party primaries have served as platforms within a party for various political views vying for control of the party.
Once again we go through a government shutdown. It appears to be an increasingly popular way of solving disputes. Only when a shutdown occurs do modern politicians get serious about issues. So who is wrong in the current dispute and does it benefit us?
The idea of a wall is not to stop illegal immigration entirely. That is probably impossible. But right now the rate, which changes every year, is unbearable. We cannot take care of all the world’s poor.
Here in Florida we are looking at the possibility of another recount of up to three elections.
Today is the first day of Early Voting in many parts of Florida and in other states as well. If you missed voting by mail you might want to take advantage of early voting.
Aside from control of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate (worthy of everyone voting) there are numerous other issues right here in Florida that need your vote.
Historically midterms usually go against the sitting president. The president has only been in office for two years and the people have usually not seen the full benefit of his policies. That would predict a blue wave.
