This morning I read an article that was critical of the way Florida has been handling Covid-19. To read that article you would think that Florida is the Epicenter of Covid-19 in the United States. That is not true!

Do these statements sound familiar to you? They should. You read and hear about them daily in your newspapers and television. It is in essence classic misinformation.
The government is moving toward reopening the country. We can’t do much about that, but we can prepare. One important tool for local marketing is a media kit.
Yes, this is an extremely contagious disease and you should follow commonsense practices as shown at both the national level (.gov) and at your state level. But you need to also remember that the death rate is an extremely low 3.6% of the cases. Compare this to other disease. Be concerned, but don’t panic.
Over the years I have experienced setbacks such as the loss of both my parents, loss of an aunt and uncle, loss of a grandmother, a heart attack, financial setbacks, and now my wife undergoing cancer treatments. Like you I sometimes wonder why, and the answer can be varied. Sometimes I make mistakes, sometimes I am guilty of sin, and sometimes I simply don’t know the reason.
So what do I or you do?
At some point in time all of us face sickness and even death. How we respond to it often reveals who we are and what kind of Christian we are. Handling such serious events is not easy for anyone, including Christians.
