Is Trump Responsible for Florence?

Is Trump Responsible for Florence?

Monday through Friday I deal with different subjects in this blog. I also post my blog to my Facebook page at RFrederickRiddlesWorld. Monday’s I try to focus on issues. This week I am taking a look at Is Trump Responsible for Florence.
The Washington Post Editorial Board recently blamed President Trump for what was then Hurricane Florence. They even got a global warming “expert” to lay it out to fuel the blame gameDrought . The climate researcher claimed, according to the Post article “that previous hurricanes would not have produced so much rain without “human-induced climate change” and Florence is another indication of global warming.”
This stunning statement drew a quick response from Conservative strategist Chris Barron of Fox news. “This column is so absurd it should be coming from The Onion not the Washington Post. To the extent that climate change is happening, it is a global phenomenon that has been occurring for decades and decades,” Barron said. “The media won’t give Trump credit for the economy but they will blame him for a hurricane. You can’t make this stuff up.””
Apparently you can.
The researcher hides behind “science” and “climate change.” But no facts are produced. This is not a surprise. After all it wasn’t long ago that climate change scientists twisted facts to produce data that indicated great dangers to the world. Their lies were caught and they were temporarily embarrassed. They still make the same claims today even though precious little evidence is produced to support them.
Plus, why should we believe them? They lied for years before getting caught. Can we believe them now?
Too blame any sitting president for the weather is rather ludicrous. Somehow a sitting president is to blame for something that has, according to them, been around for decades. These editors probably believe that our current economic boom was the result of President Obama’s policies although history teaches otherwise.
But isn’t Global Warming a Fact?
That gets a big fat “maybe.” If you review world history climate change is always happening to some extent. Shortly after the Flood the Ice Age occurred according to the latest scientific findings. But you really don’t have to go back that far. During my father’s young adult years in the 1930s there was the severe drought known as the “Dust Bowl.” This was localized to the United States and Canada. But the dust bowl was caused by drought and improper farming methods.
When I was a child in the late forties and early fifties we had extreme cold weather in Michigan and other states. But again that was localized. But we should ask is global warming is worldwide? And that is where the “iffy” comes into play. People on both sides of the argument can support their positions with data, including videos. Another problem with the global warming argument is that it seems to fit in nicely with the liberal philosophy. And that always raises a red flag.
At best the argument that there is some global warming has the most credibility. But it is hard to get alarmed by the evidence. So those favoring the socialistic solutions need greater or stronger evidence. So they reason that they ‘know that global warming is true’ so let’s change the evidence to agree with what we know.’ In most circles that is called lying and is what got them in trouble a few years back.
But Trump is Anti-Global Warming.
That is true. But being anti-global warming doesn’t mean he’s complicit in it (if indeed it is occurring). There is room for disagreement and for reaching compromises on this issue, but blaming the president for something that has been going on is not only foolish but in my opinion stupid.
So What’s the Truth?
Good question. If people would stop throwing mud at those who disagree with them and if the Left would stop their dire, alarmist predictions, perhaps a few intelligent people can truly sit down and determine the truth and what to do about it.
What Does the Bible Say About Global Warming?
The term Global Warming does not occur in the Bible. However at least 1007 years into the future you do read about the Earth being destroyed by fire. The 7 years represent the coming Tribulation and the 1000 years represent the Millennium (1000 year) Kingdom. Both are future events and the fire comes as judgment not as a long warming trend.
There is one fact that we should all consider whether you believe in Global Warming or not. We are stewards of this Earth. Therefore we should be taking wise steps toward preserving our environment. Sometimes liberal thinking is right on, but needs conservative management to make it work. If someone could get the liberals and conservatives to meet and work together we could start addressing existing climate change now and in the foreseeable future.

Judge Jeanine Pirro Thrown Off The View

Judge Jeanine Pirro Thrown Off The View

Today’s Issue: Thrown off The View
Monday’s I try to focus on issues. This week I am taking a look at Judge Jeanine Pirro being thrown off The View.
One thing that will never happen to me is being thrown off The View.
How can I say that?
Simple, I’ll never go on it. The show is shallow, mean spirited, intolerant, and without merit. I have only watched segments and that was too much. People talk about hate speech and, in my opinion, that is all that is on the show. What has drawn me to watch in times past was someone whom I respected was a guest, so I tuned in to watch. And the ignorance and hate of these women was enough to convince me not to watch them.
Recently Judge Jeanine Pirro was a guest on the show. If you know anything about the judge, she is not afraid to speak her mind. And she did so on the show and apparently this was enough to anger Whoopi.
WHAT DID WHOOPI DO?
She kicked the judge off the show. Technically she has the right. But it is also apparent that both Whoopi and Pirro used profanity laced shouts at one another. So that colors the water a little bit. Still, one thing that comes across loud and clear is that the left so hates Donald Trump that they can’t have a civil conversation with someone who is pro-Trump. It is a sad commentary on the times.
WHAT MESSAGE DOES THIS SEND?
The same message that The View consistently sends out: Hate! There’s no honest debate, at least I’ve never seen any. Sometimes the interviews seem to be civil, but lurking in the background is hatred for anything that is not only Trump, but to their right.
WHY DO WE HAVE SO MUCH HATE?
Part of the reason goes back to November 2016 when Trump beat Clinton. It shocked them and they show no signs of getting over it. Some have said that the Left is acting like a little child who doesn’t get her way. The child stomps, cries, and rebels.
But the real cause goes back much further to the time when God was kicked out of our schools. Predictions were made at the time as to the results and we have seen those predictions come true. In fact, I would say things are worse than predicted. We are now a nation divided into two camps, the Conservatives and the Liberals with no real discussion taking place between the two views.
IS THIS JUST POLITICS?
And it isn’t just two political views. We have the Left hating the Right, the Atheist hating the Christian, the Poor hating the Rich, the Rich hating the Poor, the Black hating the White, and the White hating the Black.
And then we have shows like The View (there are others) that purposely stir up feelings of hatred and jealousy. I don’t know the rationale behind it, but it’s ripping us apart.
Lack of civil discourse is more than bad manners.
It is a reflection on our times and of our departure from the Christian way of life. You could almost call it an attack on all things Christian or perceived Christian. And if our nation isn’t careful it may just call for God’s judgment!
PRAY!

The Trump Phenomenon

The Trump Phenomenon

Normally I write about Christian service particularly as it impacts a writer. However today I want to address something that is obvious to me but apparently not so obvious to those with a liberal slant on life.

Once again we are being treated with “evidence” of wrong doing by President Trump. And once again the evidence smells. But here is what they are saying: According to a document submitted by Trump or others on his behalf (most likely) Trump reimbursed his former lawyer Cohen something like $250,000. This is cited as evidence that Trump withheld information that should have been revealed during the campaign. It is also implied that paying Stormy Daniels to keep silent about her allegations proves her allegations are true.

If you have been around for very long you understand that such payments often happen and have little to do with the truth or untruth of allegations, etc. The fact is that false allegations happen, but though later proved false they can have a devastating effect upon a person’s reputation.

I started out by saying this whole thing smells. Why do I say that? I have no inside information about the allegations, but I have observed that during the campaign and after the election the media and many others have slurred Trump, lied about Trump, and after the election have tried to force him out of office.

But why?

Again, I don’t have inside information as to their thinking, but it appears that they are still in denial over his election. They don’t understand how their “perfect” (yet very flawed) candidate Hillary Clinton lost. It must have been a conspiracy or collusion.

They still hold to this idea although every new piece of “evidence” is either debunked or shown to be unreliable at best. So instead of recognizing that Trump won fair and square they go back to the drawing boards and look for new evidence.

Again, I ask why?

Is it because they hate Trump? I don’t think so. Prior to his running and being elected Trump was respected by both parties. He was even at one time considered a friend of the Clinton’s. But when he announced his candidacy it all changed. Having observed the man I have come up with three reasons, maybe four reasons, for their scorn and perhaps hatred.

  1. They don’t understand or appreciate Social Media. By this I mean that although the Democratic Party has used Social Media effectively they don’t understand it in relation to political spin. In the past they could spin things very successfully and fool enough voters to make a difference. But the internet has changed things. Now spin can be countered quickly and the fact it is spin revealed. But the Democrats continue their old habits anyway (some in the GOP have same problem).
  2. They don’t understand a major shift in national politics. People are tired of the do-nothing politicians of both parties. They want action and they want the government to solve problems. More and more people are looking outside the traditional parties and are not interested in “pure” political themes, policies, etc. The people have become more conservative and the nation is considered right of center.
  3. They don’t understand Trump. This is true of both parties. Trump is neither a liberal nor a conservative. He is what is called a populist, which the dictionary identifies as a person who represents or identifies with ordinary people. This suggests some of Trump’s decisions will be in the conservative realm while others may be in the liberal realm. Looking over his first year in office I would say his decisions have been definitely more conservative.
  4. They have lost their way. The Democrats used to talk about having the big tent. By that they meant they included people of a wide variety. But that appears not to be true anymore if it ever was true. Now the party is safely in the hands of the far left and Reagan or centrist Democrats are left out in the cold. (Meanwhile the GOP is battling between old set-in-their ways centrist Republicans and the bold, medium to far right newcomers.)

Trump didn’t have to do any collusion because he early on identified with the ordinary people. His “America First” rang a bell across the nation with people tired of politics as usual and a undermining of the American Dream. Eight years of Obama proved the Democrats didn’t have the solution, and many people weren’t sure about the Republicans. But along came a man who could articulate their thoughts, fears, and hopes. And, on top of it all, Trump is a ‘take no prisoners’ type of guy. Whether in business, politics, or government he is bold, aggressive, and a winner.

Will allegations of past sins thwart Trump? I doubt it. As Christians we deplore such behavior (if true) but most Americans only give lip service to Christianity. And they have reason to doubt the honesty and accuracy of the allegations. But they also see that Trump keeps his promises (he’s either kept them or tried to keep them), that he still emphasizes the America First theme in both national and international relations, and that he has surrounded himself with men and women who are passionate about their jobs.

Trump’s numbers are climbing, a fact the news media would like to ignore. But both democratic and republican congressmen better be careful. Old line Republicans may find themselves replaced by men and women supporting the Trump Administration, and Democrats could be swept from office. If I was a Democrat I’d be worried.
